Meet Kevin-Founder and Fabricator

Kevin Porterfield has been building, breaking, and re-engineering off-road vehicles since he was old enough to hold a wrench. What started as a passion for designing and fabricating custom projects in his garage turned into a full-time business in 2016 when he saw the need for a capable local fabrication shop in the St. Clairsville, Ohio area.

His real education did not come from a classroom. It came from the rocks. Kevin has competed in Ultra4 racing, including a strong showing at King of the Hammers where he and co-driver Phillip McGilton crossed the finish line 30th overall and 9th in class. He has also co-driven to podium finishes in Ultra4 events in Kentucky, taking 3rd in the 4400 class and 4th in the 4900 class. These are not just hobbies. They are brutal, real-world testing grounds.

That experience shows up in every part that leaves the shop. When you are racing rock bouncers and Ultra4 rigs at full send, you learn quickly what works and what does not. Kevin builds with that same mindset. If it would not survive on the trail or at King of the Hammers, it does not leave the shop
