Case Study 1: Custom 16" Manifold Assembly

Project: Large-Diameter 16" Manifold Header for Oilfield Gathering System
The Challenge: An oilfield service company needed a custom 16" manifold header for a new gathering
system. The manifold had to handle high flow rates, include multiple precisely located branch
connections, and be delivered with all flanges and connections ready for quick field tie-ins. Tight
dimensional accuracy was critical so the manifold would align properly with existing piping on site.
Our Solution: We fabricated the complete 16" manifold header using heavy-wall pipe and custom-
welded branch connections. All flange faces were machined flat after welding to ensure perfect sealing
and alignment. The entire assembly was hydrotested, coated with a high-performance exterior finish,
and mounted on a structural skid for easy transportation and installation.
The Result: The manifold was delivered on schedule and fit up perfectly during field installation with no
modifications required. The customer noted the quality of the welds and the accuracy of the flange
alignment as standout features. This manifold has been in service without issue and the customer has
since ordered additional similar assemblies.

Case Study 2: Large Green Horizontal Tanks (Plate Rolled)

Project: Custom Large-Diameter Horizontal Tanks for Industrial / Oilfield Use
The Challenge: A customer required multiple large horizontal tanks for fluid storage and processing.
The tanks needed to be rolled from heavy plate, include multiple nozzles and manways, and meet tight
roundness and straightness tolerances for proper fit-up with piping systems. Delivery timing was critical
to keep their project on schedule.
Our Solution: Using our in-house plate rolling equipment, we rolled heavy steel plate into large-
diameter cylinders. We added custom nozzles, manways, and structural saddles. All welding was
performed to code, and the tanks were hydrotested before receiving a high-quality exterior coating in
the customer’s specified color.
The Result: All tanks were delivered on time and passed inspection without issues. The customer was
particularly satisfied with the roundness and overall fit and finish. These tanks have been in service with
no reported problems, and the customer has continued to order additional fabricated tanks from us.

Case Study 3: Custom Flare Stack Components

Project: Flare Stack Piping and Structural Components for Oilfield Installation
The Challenge: An oilfield operator needed custom flare stack piping and support components for a
new well pad installation. The work involved large-diameter pipe spools, structural supports, and
precise welding on components that would be exposed to high temperatures and harsh weather
conditions.
Our Solution: We fabricated the required flare stack piping spools, headers, and structural support
elements. All welding was performed using processes suitable for high-temperature service.
Components were painted with a high-temperature resistant coating system. We also provided
structural base plates and bracing designed for easy field assembly.
The Result: All flare stack components were delivered on time and installed without fit-up issues. The
operator reported clean welds and good overall quality. The flare system has been operating reliably
since commissioning with no reported maintenance issues related to the fabricated components.

Case Study 4: Heavy Structural Fabrication

Project: Large Custom Structural Frames and Access Doors for Processing Facility
The Challenge: A processing facility needed several oversized structural frames and heavy access
doors for a new installation. The assemblies were too large for standard transportation in one piece,
required precise alignment of mating surfaces, and had to be built to withstand heavy industrial use with
minimal maintenance.
Our Solution: We fabricated the structures in modular sections that could be transported and then
field-bolted together with precision alignment. All critical mating surfaces were machined flat after
welding. Heavy hinges and locking mechanisms were integrated into the door assemblies. The entire
project was built, trial-fitted in our shop, disassembled, and shipped for final installation.
The Result: Field assembly went smoothly with no major fit-up issues. The doors operate smoothly
despite their size and weight. The facility maintenance team has commented on the solid feel and
quality of the fabrication. The project was completed within the required timeline and has performed
reliably since installation.
